Coffee Shop Classroom Decor

Oh, Spiriteds, what can I say? This Coffee Shop classroom decor theme has been in my head, percolating as a theme does, for the last few years. I simply could not pull it all together. But I also couldn’t let it go. Then, with what felt like the switch of a button, everything came together in a matter of weeks. What had been labor intensive became an absolute breeze. Coffee Shop classroom decor was so fun to put together, I was sad to wrap it up. My solace is sharing it now with you, so you and your students can enjoy it, too!

Inspired by the coffee shop music clips on Youtube, this theme features:

Coffee Shop is welcoming, inviting, and cozy. It’s a home away from home. The many TEXT EDITABLE files allow you to refresh your classroom throughout the year. And all without having to start from square one. The ability to refresh also keeps the theme interesting. Because let’s face it: selecting a classroom theme for an entire school year is a BIG DEAL! And you should be able to like your theme at the end of the year as much as you did at the start.

How to accessorize Coffee Shop classroom decor

This charming, whimsical classroom decor theme is super-easy to accessorize because everything from black and white accents to brown and kraft materials will work here. If you happen to have pastels on hand, then throw them in, too. But it isn’t necessary. Coffee Shop classroom decor can be as elaborate or as simple as your time, energy, and budget allow.

Before you buy anything for this theme, I encourage you to shop your current stash. This is especially true if you have black, white, or brown items, or you’ve used farmhouse or pastel classroom decor themes in the past.

When I set up the bulletin board, featuring Coffee Shop Classroom Rules Posters, I used a fadeless bulletin board paper in Weathered Wood. I also used rainbow and strand light bulletin board borders. This brought color and ambience together. Yet those same materials can be used in future themes that are completely different from this one. Oh, and if you like to decorate your classroom with strand lights, then they’ll be right at home here. Potted plants and greenery, either fresh or silk, are great additions to this theme.

Set up a classroom website

Customizing a classroom website is a breeze with Coffee Shop Google Sites templates. These accents fit with a Google classroom website. And, I’ve been told, they also work well on Canvas.
