Space Galaxy Classroom Decor

Space Galaxy classroom decor is out-of-this-world amazing. I mean, with celestial and galaxy digital backgrounds, paired with marbled and floral patterns, the sky is the limit when it comes to mixing and matching your classroom decor!

Thanks for making it this far. I couldn’t help myself, Spiriteds, with all the space references. Well, okay, yes, I could. But I chose not to. This Space Galaxy classroom decor theme is one for the ages, and I’m using all the puns and clichés. Because this is an ALL CAPS theme, if ever there was one. So what makes Space Galaxy classroom decor so amazing? Fair question, which I am here to answer.

This classroom decor theme is flexible and adaptable.

Do you like to set up stations, centers, reading nooks, or small group areas throughout the classroom? If yes, then the center and table numbers in the teacher binder product are perfect for you. How to accessorize Space Galaxy classroom decor

I’ve written it before and I’ll write it again: the sky is the limit with this theme! If you have black and white accents, they’ll fit right in. If you have rainbow colors from previous themes, then they’ll also work. And, if you want to mix and match black and white with rainbow colors, then that will work, too. Whatever works with your timeline and budget will work here, too. This theme is big on color and pattern and creativity. But it doesn’t require lots of fancy accessories to work.

I accented a bulletin board with wood grain paper and a rainbow bulletin board border, topped off with Space Galaxy Classroom Rules Posters. I also decorated my desk with banner pieces from the Space Galaxy Classroom Jobs resource. The extra pieces found in the theme BECOME the accessories themselves.

Space Galaxy BONUS materials

This theme features lots of bonus materials to bring the theme together. And that means you have even more options to decorate your classroom. Hang the BONUS center and table numbers, featuring the planets, over groupings of desks.

Decorate your classroom calendar with BONUS cards that also feature the planets. String banner pieces across your ceiling or decorate a door with them. Cascade them along the front of a desk, like I did, or across the top of a window.

Resources for math centers

I didn’t hit my math stride until I was 25 years old and in grad school. Small class sizes and often working in groups helped me overcome my math anxiety to realize I really do LOVE numbers. And now when I create math resources, I take care to not only cover the basics but also add a bit of fun to the materials themselves, whether it’s a fun pattern or catchy colors. Use these resources to create one-on-one, small group, or large group learning opportunities. And if you need to adjust the poster sizes, especially to something smaller and handheld, then check out How to Print Classroom Decor. In it, I walk you through how to scale printed materials.

Side note: It’s typically easier to scale printed materials DOWN to a SMALLER size than to expand them to something larger. This is because materials need to contain enough pixels to stretch to the larger size without sacrificing quality. Otherwise you end up with a dotty, scratchy, pixelated resource that’s hard to read or print. If you do need to print something larger than what is provided, you may want to talk with a printing company to see if the file will work on a larger scale. If printing at home, then do a quick black-and white draft print first before committing to lots of expensive color ink.

Classroom organization materials for teachers
