Strawberry Lime Daiquiri

Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

Strawberry Lime Daiquiri is gluten-free and delicious! | spiritedandthensome.comFrozen strawberries and cherries. Fresh limes with little agave nectar. Spiriteds, these words just ooze summer. And Strawberry Lime Daiquiri is its anthem. I don’t know about you, but I am ready for nights out on the deck, food on the grill, and beverages like this one. To be completely truthful, this is all K-Hubs’ doing, his masterpiece if you will. Strawberry Lime Daiquiris came about last year on a particularly long day. It was a Friday night, and everyone was a little bit crazy. Basically, the cheese had plumb slid right off our collectives crackers. So. Much. Week. When we finally got the girls to bed, I told K-Hubs I was not able process information anymore.

Strawberry Lime Daiquiri uses cherries for an out-of-this-world flavor and color! | spiritedandthensome.comK-HUBS: How about we binge-watch episodes of Emergency! on Netflix?
ME: Done. Also, I’m thinking a beverage of a fruity nature, but because I cannot even, I have no will to make it.
K-HUBS: I’ll do it. What have we got?
ME: Limes, strawberries, and cherries.

Strawberry Lime Daiquiri is thirst-quenching with paleo and vegan variations! | spiritedandthensome.comAnd now you have the birth story of this delicious, refreshing, thirst-quenching beverage with cherries that make everything a little OMG. So there we were on the couch, each drinking a Strawberry Lime Daiquiri while watching Kel, Dix, and Joe save the human race at Rampart General Hospital. John Gage was yet again unsuccessfully trying to snag the girl while his dubious partner, Roy DeSoto, looked on. I drank my Strawberry Lime Daiquiri as a real, full-fledged daiquiri while K-Hubs went the alcohol-free route. Spiriteds, what can I say? This concoction is everything a summer drink is meant to be. It’s also why people get together and celebrate summer.

Throw Strawberry Lime Daiquiri ingredients into the blender and go! | spiritedandthensome.comAnd, it’s so forgiving. Like, let’s say you want alcohol in yours but a friend would like his rum-free. Done. Make two batches and then omit the alcohol in one. As I mentioned, K-Hubs, and the girls, discovered this stands on its own as a fruit juice. Or if you prefer to make just one batch, divvy out the alcohol-free servings before adding the rum. Adjust the rum accordingly for what remains in the blender. Or let’s say you want it to be more of a frozen deal. Perfect. Substitute crushed ice in place of the two cups of water. Or maybe you like your drink particularly sweet OR particularly sour. No problem! Simply adjust your sweetener up or down.

The possibilities are endless, and the color is simply divine. It’s a pretty drink meant to be shared. Maybe at a birthday party or a block party. Or because it’s a day of the week ending in the word “day.”

An earlier version from 2016!

I fully plan for this to be our summer drink of choice, sipping on strawberries, cherries, and limes like we live on a tropical island, surrounded by blue water and white sand. In reality, we’ll be surrounded by humidity and mosquitos, but, hey, at least the drink portion of that fantasy will be real.

Get sippin’, Spiriteds, because strawberries, limes, and cherries are calling your name.
