Happy November, Spiriteds! What happened in your month? Did you get outside for fresh air? Did you remember to drink water throughout the day? I, for one, cut back on my coffee consumption. And mostly I like how much better I feel, in spite of the fact that I do love a good cuppa joe.

Grab a cup of your favorite beverage, pull up a chair, and sit for a minute or two. There’s room for you here.
WHAT WE’VE BEEN DRINKING:
K-Hubs and I have been all over Vegan Golden Milk and Dairy-Free Chai Tea. They are so comforting and easy to prepare. You’ve been crazy about them, too, if the traffic to these recipes on our Story Pins are any indication!
Both drinks are like warm hugs on a chilly day. And since cooler temperatures are on the horizon, they are a timely choice!
WHERE WE WENT:

If there is one thing that has helped my mental wellbeing during the pandemic, it’s outdoor time. Nature walks have had a therapeutic effect on me, and I’m soaking up as much of our favorite locations as I can before they close for the winter season.

We also played in our own yard. It’s amazing the colors you find in nature so close to home. Even if for an hour or two, sunlight, leaves, and fresh air are good for the soul. And I’m here for it. Even our daughter, who prefers indoor activities, enjoys exploring nature. And it’s helped us feel less closed in, even as our favorite pastimes, like concerts and festivals, are shut down until further notice.
WHAT WE DECORATED:

When I was a child, my mom decorated for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. I continued that tradition into adulthood and now do the same with my own family. And while we don’t rival Clark Griswold, we do enjoy the decorations we’ve collected throughout the years. For example, the tree in my office is K-Hubs’ old tree he bought when we first started dating. I’m pretty sure we went to a Harry Potter movie and then hit up a craft store afterward so he could purchase the tree while it was still on sale.

Friends, I hope your holiday season is filled with bright spots in the midst of this pandemic. Take care of yourselves, be well, and know that, as always, I’m glad you’re here. ❤️
