I don’t know if it shows, Spiriteds, but I listened to A LOT of jazz music while I created this Rustic Farmhouse classroom decor theme. And the design encapsulates exactly what I what I was going for, thanks to jazz music or not. Warm and inviting, even on rainy, cloudy days, this classroom decor theme feels like nature meets rustic meets magical (definitely thanks to those strand lights on the classroom posters and binder covers). It’s a captivating theme that works with students of all ages.
It’s also ideal if you like farmhouse classroom decor themes but with a twist. Instead of black and white color schemes, this Rustic Farmhouse classroom decor theme features blues and greens. And the wood pattern in the digital designs also features a blue-gray coloring. It’s the perfect blend of digital color schemes and patterns.
I’m so excited to share this theme with you, and I hope you’re excited to see it! So let’s jump in and start exploring, shall we?
What’s included with this Rustic Farmhouse classroom decor?
Well, I’m so glad you asked! There are lots of materials to choose from, many of which can be used for more than one purpose. I’m looking right at you, circle-tags-as-labels-and-bunting and book-bin-labels-as-file-folder-labels. Also, this isn’t even including all the text editable classroom materials you can customize to your liking. Honestly, the options are endless!
When I was a college and continuing education instructor, I created several of my materials from scratch. I LOVED customizing content for my students, but it was quite the workload, and I often found myself creating and revising right up until the last minute. In addition to workload and life balance, this might also be because of Parkinson’s Law. As Kat Booguaard notes right off the bat for Atlassian in her article What is Parkinson’s Law and why is it sabotaging your productivity, “Parkinson’s Law is the adage that work will expand to fill the time allotted for its completion.” Put another way, if you’re given three weeks to complete something, you’ll take three weeks to do it. And that might mean that people like yours truly will work on lesson plans right up until it’s time to head to the classroom.
But with this classroom decor bundle (and the others in my Spirited Learning store on TPT), my goal is to provide you with a plethora of materials you can use right away AND provide text editable materials you can customize in advance or on the fly. Whatever the situation, this classroom decor theme has your back.

Rustic Farmhouse bulletin board ideas
You can design a Rustic Farmhouse bulletin board to be as fancy or as simple as you’d like. Wood grain bulletin board paper is a great look, and so are blue or green bulletin board borders. I fanci-fied my bulletin board with a strand light bulletin board border I got at my local classroom supply store. It’s a black backdrop instead of blue or green. But it still looked awesome and complemented the strand lights used in the digital designs within this theme.
If you’d like to convert this bulletin board theme into a door decor setup, then you can definitely do that, too! The classroom posters will look awesome however you choose to display them. And you can also use those aforementioned circle tags from the teacher binder covers product as door decor, especially if you need a small backing to affix student pictures.

But the sky is the limit, so have fun with the options you discover because this theme is a blast to decorate!

If you’re curious about how to print classroom decor at home, then I have a blog article about that very topic. Whether you send your classroom materials to a professional printer or print materials at home is your decision. In that blog post, I share some of my favorite tips for printing at home, including selecting paper, scaling posters, and understanding printer settings.
