A delicious addition to breakfast recipes, snacks, and treats. this Paleo Pear Butter recipe is not only easy to make but will also leave your house smelling wonderful! Ready in about an hour and good for up to one week, this recipe is where the flavor’s at! {Paleo}

  • 2 pounds pears, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons 100% pure honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/41/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
  • Pinch of allspice

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the pears, honey, lemon juice, cinnamon, ginger, sea salt, and allspice and bring to a boil. Then reduce heat to a LOW-MEDIUM setting and cook covered for about 40-45 minutes. Stir frequently to make sure the ingredients don’t burn. As the pears cook, mash them slightly to make the blending process in Step 3 even easier.
  2. Next, simmer for another 5-10 minutes uncovered. As a rule, cook uncovered for closer to 10 minutes if there is excess liquid in the pan and closer to 5 minutes if the mixture has already thickened and is cooking hot.
  3. Remove from the heat and let cool for a few minutes before transferring the mixture to a high-speed blender. Puree the ingredients in the blender until smooth.
  4. Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator for up to one week. Sprinkle with more allspice just prior to serving, if desired.
