Paleo Chocolate Mug Cake

Paleo Chocolate Mug Cake is big on flavor and gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and grain-free! |


  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa or cacao powder
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (or substitute of choice)
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips (I like Enjoy Life brand chips)


  1. Combine ingredients in a deep bowl and stir until evenly mixed. Pour into a microwave-safe mug or dish.
  2. Microwave on high for approximately two minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Carefully remove from microwave as contents will be hot. This recipe is best enjoyed right after microwaving.
