It’s possible I have been going a little crazy over here with the sparkling water recipes. I have no excuse, other than how delicious they are. And the fact that, as one IGer pointed out, sparkling water tastes better than regular water. It is certainly more exciting. However you feel about tap water, one thing is for sure. This Mixed Berry Sparkling Water recipe is all things TO DIE FOR.
I was doing an impromptu Aldi run for terribly important things like blueberries and generic cola for backyard science experiments when I discovered mixed berry sparkling water on an end cap. Vie, the Aldi brand, did it again. They came up with another thirst-quenching flavor to beat the heat this summer. Maybe it has existed since 1979. But I only just discovered it last Tuesday.
So, what can I say? I nabbed a bottle, brought it home, and started sipping. And because mixed berry sparkling water just wasn’t enough on its own for my excessively precious self, I threw in frozen mixed berries, too. Yes, they are also from Aldi. And, yes, the combination packed a thirst-quenching, satisfying flavor beyond even my wildest sparkling water dreams. So maybe you can call it double mixed berry sparkling water? Let’s be real here. We are amongst ourselves. You can call it whatever you like. Sort of like tap water, whatever you call and however you feel about it, another thing is for certain. Mixed Berry Sparkling Water will knock your socks off, never minding of course. K-Hubs took a sip or 30 and was on the floor. He could not even with how good it was.
But you might be wondering, is it sweet? It contains berries, after all. Sparkling water’s acidic nature means it will taste more on the bitter side. Some people might even call it salty. I’d say bitter is more apropos for Mixed Berry Sparkling Water. And, no, I don’t add any sweetener to it. You could add a dash of cinnamon or cardamom, if you are so inclined, much like we did with our Blueberry Sparkling Water recipe. But it’s totally optional. Because we are keeping things simple around here, Spiriteds. Mixed Berry Sparkling Water would want us to. If it were a real person, which of course it’s not. Everyone, um, knows that and stuff.
Okay, but for real, make a round of two of this. Like, just go to Aldi for frozen berries, a garage sale table, a garden hose, Mickey Mouse activity books, striped socks, flower pots, a closet organizer, and some mixed berry sparkling water. Because summer just got a whole lot better.
Oh, and did I mention they also have Black Cherry Sparkling Water? Asking for a friend…

I am confused. The recipe is to make “Mixed Berry Sparkling Water” but it is one of the ingredients. So, just add fruit or spices to enhance. Or was the ingredient list a mistake?
That’s such a great question! We use mixed berry sparkling water and enhance it with the spices and frozen fruit. You could add sweetener if desired (such as stevia or a little agave nectar). Take care! ~ Morgan
