This Matcha Mango Smoothie oozes spring and summer vibes with frozen mango and banana, fresh spinach, and finely-ground matcha! It’s a delicious green smoothie that’ll knock your socks off!

Scale

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen mango chunks
  • 1 frozen banana, sliced
  • 2 handfuls fresh spinach leaves
  • 1 teaspoon matcha tea
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 100% pure honey, agave nectar, or maple syrup, to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add the ingredients to the blender, in the order listed, except for the chia seeds, which will be added later. Blend on a low to medium speed to get the ingredients blending smoothly.
  2. Gradually turn up the speed to medium or high speed and blend until smooth.
  3. Blend in chia seeds or use them as a smoothie topping.
  4. Store in a glass container in the refrigerator for about 2 days. Smoothie will thicken as it stands.

Notes

  • I often increase my chia seeds to about 3 tablespoons, or one full serving, for this smoothie, especially if I have to add a little extra almond milk.
  • Add more matcha as desired.
