This Homemade Pineapple Iced Tea recipe is thirst-quenching and easy to prepare! {vegan + GF}

  • 45 cups water
  • 67 black tea bags
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup agave nectar
  • 2 cups pineapple chunks

  1. Pour the water into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add the tea bags. Let steep covered about 3-5 minutes. Remove the tea bags.
  2. Transfer the tea from the saucepan to a large mixing bowl. Stir in the baking soda and agave nectar. Add the pineapple chunks and let chill in the refrigerator for at least four hours.
  3. Remove the pineapple chunks, pour the tea through a mesh strainer, and store the tea in glass jars in the refrigerator for up to one week.

  • You can discard the pineapple chunks, if you’d like, or munch on them as a snack.
  • If using frozen pineapple chunks, either let them thaw before adding them to the tea, or if still frozen, let them soak in the tea longer than four hours.
  • While the recipe uses agave nectar, you can use whatever sweetener you’d like.
