  • 1/2 cup agave nectar
  • Ginger ale or sparkling water

To make the cranberry syrup:

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, water, and agave nectar. Simmer covered for about 10 minutes, or until the water has turned a deep red. Let cool and pour through a mesh strainer. Store the cranberry syrup in a mason jar and refrigerate for up to one week.

Cranberry Fizz Mocktail with ginger ale:

  • Combine two parts ginger ale with one part cranberry syrup.

Cranberry Fizz Mocktail with sparkling water:

  • Combine equal parts cranberry syrup and sparkling water. For a sweeter flavor, add additional agave nectar.

  • Yield provided is for cranberry syrup. When combined with either ginger ale or sparkling water, yields double or triple, depending on ratio used.
  • Unflavored sparkling water will work in this recipe as will lemon-flavored and lime-flavored sparkling waters.
