Cottage Florals Classroom Decor

Can you re-fall-in-love with a classroom decor theme? Is that even a thing? Because if you can, then that’s what happened when I set up this Cottage Florals classroom decor theme. I mean, JUST LOOK AT IT!!!!!!! I cannot even handle how cheerful it is!

Black, white, pink, and green classroom decorations setup in a room.

According to my quality control specialists and production assistants (aka my children), this theme is the bees knees. According to the second born, this theme is “cute but not too cute and colorful but not too colorful.” The firstborn concurs and added, “Even if a teacher had a different wall color, this theme would still work because the colors are soft enough to work.”

So there you have it, friends. The children have spoken, and this theme is IN!!!!!!!

There are a few additional elements that catch my eye:

  • You can isolate certain patterns in this theme, using the text editable PowerPoint files, to highlight more of the black and white patterns or to highlight more pink or to draw in more green.
  • Decorating on a budget is easy because standard greenery and black and white accessories work well.
  • This theme brings the outdoors in. It’s a farmhouse classroom decor theme with a twist. The pinks and greens, adorable clipart, and straightforward patterns see to that!

So you might be wondering, okay that’s great, Morgan, but what all am I getting with this classroom decor bundle? Why, I’m so glad you asked! Let me show you! It’s helpful to keep in mind that resources are often combined into a particular product (for example, the math kit includes colors, shapes, numbers, and number lines, to name a few). So it’s a good idea to click through the products to see what is included in each one.

It’s worth noting that the bundle is priced at a discount (compared to buying each product individually), and several accent pieces are included throughout the theme. If you do purchase the bundle, look through the text editable files because many of them can be used to enhance your classroom even more!

Text editable PowerPoint files are included throughout the bundle so you can customize materials to meet your needs. And within several of the products are materials that can be repurposed for more than one use!

For example, you can paper clip the book bin labels to pocket folders for temporary use, or you can use the calendar cards for counting smaller numbers. Furthermore, the table numbers can also be used for stations, centers, and even floor work.

I mentioned earlier I think this is a simple theme to decorate. Black and white accents will match the patterns, even if the designs aren’t exactly the same. If you do want to add more color, then pinks and greens are the way to go. I found some of my pink accessories were more orange than the colors in the theme, but I used them anyway and placed them farther away from some of the better-matching pink accessories.

Depending on your preference, decorate with greenery or bring in some colorful flowers. Pink succulents and purple wildflowers come to mind. An industrial desk lamp is always a chic choice (I found mine at Walmart).

I was surprised to see how much the pocket folders stood out, too! And I think that’s once specific way to decorate using this theme, and all without breaking the bank. Black, pink, and green pocket folders are great accents that have aesthetic and functional purposes! The paper-clipped labels on the folders are actually the book bin labels from the classroom supply product!

Farmhouse bulletin board setup

For this bulletin board, I kept it simple and used the same materials I used for previous farmhouse themes. That’s one of the things I LOVE about Cottage Florals. In spite of some of some of the brighter colors found in this theme, I can still decorate using basic black and white borders and backdrops. I don’t have to reinvent my entire collection of classroom materials.

I found the bulletin board at Walmart years ago, the borders at Target, and the background on Amazon.
