Baked Cinnamon Apple Chips

Ingredients

  • 3 apples (I like Granny Smith)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse and core each apple.
  2. Using a mandolin, slice each apple (much like you would an onion).
  3. In a large bowl, toss apples with lemon juice.
  4. In a separate dish, combine the cinnamon and sea salt. Blend together with a fork to break down any chunks of sea salt.
  5. Drizzle cinnamon/sea salt mixture over the apples and toss by hand until apple slices are evenly coated.
  6. Line baking sheets with parchment paper and top with apple slices, making sure not to overlap the apples.
  7. Bake at 200 degrees for 90 minutes.
  8. Turn the apple slices over and bake an additional 90 minutes.
  9. Check after three hours and bake for up to an additional hour, if desired.

Notes

Depending on your oven and how many baking sheets you are using, you may want to rotate your sheets throughout the baking process (or at the end of the first 90 minutes) to ensure an even baking process.
