Bacon Guacamole


  • 2 avocados (I like Hass)
  • 1/2 tsp lime juice
  • 1/8 tsp sea salt
  • 1 roma tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup green onion, sliced
  • 5 strips well-cooked bacon (aim for crispy over soft for the perfect crunch)
  • Additionally slices of well-cooked bacon to use as “chips” or “spoons”


  1. Scoop flesh of two avocados out using a spoon and place in large mixing bowl.
  2. Mash with potato masher or two forks.
  3. Add lime juice and sea salt. Continue mashing to as to achieve an even flavor.
  4. Add the tomato, cilantro, red onion, and green onion, stirring with a spoon to evenly distribute the ingredients.
  5. Break four slices of bacon into small pieces and stir them into the guacamole. Top the guacamole with the broken pieces of the remaining slice of bacon.
  6. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or bacon “chips” and “spoons.”
