This 3-Ingredient Cranberry Pomegranate Spread is the perfect addition to crackers, crisps, muffins, breads, and a SPOON! It’s a family-favorite recipe that I love to snack on throughout the holidays! {Paleo or Vegan}

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups fresh cranberries, halved lengthwise
  • 2 cup pomegranate arils
  • 1/3 cup agave nectar (vegan) or 100% pure honey (paleo)

Instructions

  1. Add halved cranberries in small batches to a chopper and chop until tiny pieces form.
  2. Next, transfer the chopped cranberries to a large mixing bowl and gently stir in pomegranate arils. If desired, place chopped cranberries and pomegranate arils in a thin dish cloth or cheese cloth and gently squeeze to remove excess water. Transfer the mixture back to the mixing bowl.
  3. Then add agave nectar or 100% pure honey and stir well.
  4. Store in an airtight container for 2-3 days. Shake or stir before serving as contents will settle.

Notes

  • Use fresh cranberries and eliminate those that are soggy inside.
  • If working with a fresh pomegranate, then slice off the ends, cut the pomegranate into quarters, and submerge each quarter in a bowl of water while removing the arils. Let the arils fall to the bottom of the bowl of water. Repeat with each quarter. The water will help separate the arils from the rind and membrane. Rinse the arils to separate them even further and drain the water. Transfer to the mixing bowl and combine with the cranberries.
  • Give the mixture a shake or a stir before serving as the contents, including the fruit juices, like to settle.
